What is “original” about modern Indian art, and is this even a valid question? How do we approach the art? This panel brings together a group of eminent writers and critics, including Yashodhara Dalmia, Gayatri Sinha and exhibition guest curator Zehra Jumabhoy, who have, through their writing, built frameworks for interpreting the aesthetics and narrative of Indian art development, as well as its place in the global narrative of art in the 20th century. Moderated by Abhay Sardesai, editor of ART India. Co-organized with ART India.
