Asian American Women Driving Innovation

It is no secret that historically the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics have remained predominately male. In 2017, The United States Department of Labor reported that women accounted for 42.2 percent of full-time wage salary workers in life, physical, and social science occupations while only 25.2 percent worked in computer and mathematical fields. Similarly, it was reported that, in architecture and engineering occupations, only 14 percent of full-time wage and salary workers were women.

Join us for a fantastic conversation with two influential Asian-American women, Reshma Saujani and Nina Davulri. They have each made it their mission, through a myriad of successful initiatives, to empower and educate girls and women. They will discuss their successes and challenges in navigating STEM industries, and issues relevant to Asian American women in particular.
